What I Do
As a People Management and Competency Management specialist, I oversee 10-20 employees depending on the context. In addition to daily management and competency development for the Mechanical department, I am also responsible for tasks like resource allocation and project scheduling. I frequently collaborate with the Device department and the R&D team: recently, I contributed to the Koala technology project, a 2-year in-ear technology study in partnership with Oticon. I’m also involved in frontend innovation at every step, from early concept development and supplier involvement to comfort studies, prototyping, and testing.
What Makes EPOS a Great Workplace
EPOS has a flat management structure that facilitates quick decision-making. Growing a department in a fast-moving company is a lot of fun (and hard work), and the level of innovation at EPOS creates great products. Being able to work with premium products and groundbreaking technologies is very inspiring, and since EPOS is part of the Demant organization, there are many exciting career opportunities.
What Drives Me
I love having an influence on the development of high-end products and being able to grow the Mechanical department. Working in an international setting with many competent and interesting colleagues is very stimulating, as is working cross-functionally with other Demant companies and having a broad contact base across departments. Team spirit is strong at EPOS, and I relish the opportunity to develop my competencies and grow as a person.
I’ve been playing electric guitar and singing in an amateur party band for over 20 years. I first started playing guitar at age 8, and have played in quite a few bands since then. In the summertime, I enjoy taking day cruises with family and friends on my motorboat, and I love to barbecue year-round. I also designed and built a 50m2 extension for my relatively old house.
